3Stories is pleased to announce the next installment of the 4 for 40 series of evenings pairing music and dinner at Geneva’s iconic Cracker Factory. Guitarist and songwriter Jacob Johnson and chef Merrill Moore of Stan’s Waterloo will be the featured musical and culinary artists for on Wednesday, April 4th from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Doors open at 5:30. The evening will combine the finest that the Finger Lakes has to offer with music presented in an intimate setting with a casual meal of four courses. Reservations are $40 per guest, advance ticket sales required.
4 for 40 features two sets of music and a light dinner featuring appetizer, salad, entree, and dessert courses. Following the opening set of music, the artists will join the guests for dinner, and conclude with a second set of music with dessert.
Part virtuoso and part storyteller, you might say that Jacob Johnson does with a guitar what Gene Kelly did with dance. Although his songwriting has won awards and his guitar-playing has put him on stage with Tommy Emmanuel and Phil Keaggy, his ability as an entertainer is what has won fans throughout the southeast. He refers to himself as "a ham that just wants to be on stage" but he’s much more than that. Jacob is an amazingly talented guitarist and songwriter which, combined with a bit of a personality, makes for a wildly impressive stage performance.
For the past three years, Merrill Moore has been a key player in the expansion of the food industry in Waterloo, NY. Throughout the years, he has worked to create the concepts and menus for multiple restaurants including West Main Kitchen, WMK Taqueria, and Stan’s Waterloo. Currently working as the consulting Chef and founding partner of Stan’s Waterloo, Moore has gone above and beyond in establishing a modern gastro pub. From his concept burgers to smoked meats, he has showcased his skills and expansive knowledge. Moore’s resume reaches beyond the Finger Lakes. From New York City to Mexico to Belgium, his experiences have afforded him numerous titles and accolades.
3Stories is an incorporated 501(c)3 non-profit housed within the Cracker Factory that manages cultural events of all kinds. The Cracker Factory is a restored factory space on Geneva’s north side that hosts an event space, which is available for events including receptions, performances, and more.
